MUSIC

Playing music since childhood and singing since birth, Liberty’s spirit is most alive when in the flow of expressive sound. Inspired by the syncopated beats of raindrops and the trills of birds, Liberty lives to sing from the heart, play flute from the soul, and develop guitar skills through experiential exploration.

Currently recording their first album, Liberty is emerging into the music scene with a gentle easing onto open mic stages and into the living rooms of community houses.

Since 2011, Liberty has been practicing the role of a liberated librarian, a postie of information under the premise of information as a human right. This intention has been expressed through the service of the Occupy Portland Library, People’s Library, and independent Liberated Library installations at actions and public gathering places across the country.

More recently Liberty has served as resident librarian at the Community Supported Everything project in NE Portland from 2011-2013.

Currently Liberty volunteers at Tryon Life Community Farm where she offers information, organization, communication and artistic services to the non-profit organization. She also tends the land and offers visions for the future of the project.
